The Paper Empire Story

The Paper Empire has been sharing the stationery love, helping people celebrate special events and generally obsessing about beautiful paper and design since 2013.

Our store on High St, Armadale in Melbourne is the home of our design studio, where just upstairs from all pretty things in the shop, we’re busy designing our own range of stationery products as well as hunting down the best from around the world.

In 2017 we opened our first store in Brisbane and now we have two beautiful stores on Given Terrace in Paddington and on Chester Street in Newstead a short stroll from the renowned James Street precinct. 

The Paper Empire is an independent family business founded by creative director and Chief Executive Paper Obsessive Emily Anthon. Though no longer involved in store, Emily’s eye for stationery style and originality remains the standard for an amazing team of paper lovers, gift wrappers and talented designers. Occasionally her dog Mac also pops by, he isn't very helpful in the office but he does love pats.
